Google announced yesterday that Preferred Sources has now been rolled out internationally in all languages. Introduced last year and only made available outside the USA in December, Preferred Sources are a way for users to show interest and trust in a source. Preferred sources are more likely to appear in the news section of Google results for those users.
While it’s not a silver bullet in terms of SEO, it is definitely beneficial. Google reports that preferred sources can see double the clicks. Couple this with some structured data for your articles, and you can start to really build that E-E-A-T, which is so vital for both SEO and visibility in AI tools.
So, if you’re interested in our thoughts on everything from using AI, the state of SEO in 2026, or general advice on security online, you can select Yello Studio as a preferred source here.
